Essie's class was excellent!  Not only was it fun, but she came prepared with everything we needed to learn well, and she answered all of our questions thoroughly.  I took home starter from the class and made my first loaf with it a few days later.  Almost a year in, and I am still making delicious bread regularly.

I left Essie's class feeling prepared to make bread on my own, and truly, every single loaf I've made with her instructions has been beautiful.  This class is worth every penny and more for anyone who wants to learn the art of making sourdough!

I cannot recommend Essie’s sourdough class enough! She is an excellent, patient teacher on a topic that I thought was beyond my culinary skills. After reading several books and articles on how to make sourdough, I decided it was too involved and complex. Essie breaks each step down in a simple, straightforward way. Her bread is not only delicious but beautiful as well! I have been baking using her method for over nine months and have found it to be easy and forgiving. What was once intimidating is now fun, creative, and delicious. My family and friends enjoy fresh homemade sourdough often thanks to Essie!
